Sanders Auto began on the cold and windy New Year's Eve 1992 with
Leroy and his brother trying to find a vehicle to resell. That first
decrepit pickup sold for twice what the brother's had bought it
for and Sanders Auto was on its way. Buying and selling vehicles
became a second source of income to the declining farm market, and
soon Leroy's sons were the top salesmen. Time had a way of taking
the young salesmen on to bigger and better things, and the farm
became only memories. In 2000 the auto business became the sole
source of income with a body shop requiring more and more attention.
Today the body shop has top priority with sales of rebuilt and wrecked
vehicles keeping the extra minutes full to overflowing.
